Pond Dipping   @ Chaddesden Park

Sunday, 23rd July 2017, 13.30 - 16.30 hrs

Chaddesden Park Ponds

Visit the Derby City Pond Warden Association (DCPWA) to discover the creatures that lurk in the ponds at Chaddesden Park. There will be pond dipping for all members of the family. DCPWA will supply equipment and members will be on hand to help you identify what you have found. Find out about the role of a pond warden and how important ponds are. Please wear appropriate clothes, and ideally waterproof footwear.

Meet at the pond and marsh area, following signs from the car park off Maine Drive. The ponds are off the paths and through the trees so be aware that the terrain can be uneven, and if wet, heavy underfoot. Dogs on leads are welcome.

No need to book, just turn up on the day.

Bus route 20 runs from Derby Bus Station to Maine Drive, Chaddesden.
